What is this?
On March 24, 2006, my good friend Matt
Monroy sent me an email. It said,
"We should put together an annual golf tourney...
something at Traditions... Invite everyone we know who plays golf
Rent out the bar , drink, eat, and hang afterwords....
This got me thinking.... We're all getting older
and sooner or later most of us (maybe all) will end up getting married.
In comes the "post-mortem" golf tournament.
Marriage in a way represents the symbolic death
of the bachelor life. It's not the worst thing in the world to happen,
but it's certainly somethig to be missed. This web site is dedicated
to those of us who have entered that stage of our lives. And for
those of us soon to delve into the married life, we now have something
to look forward to at least once a year!
What does the event entail?
The Post-Mortem Golf Event is an annual event that
occurs in Connecticut whereby a bunch of guys all get together and
play 18 holes of golf at a local golf course. The event includes:
- A Round of 18 holes of Golf at a local
area Connecticut course
- The Winner Keeps the Trophy for 1 year
and gets his name engraved
- Handicaps for each player to make the event
as fair as possible. Each year you don't win you will be
awarded more points towards your handicap providing you
with a better chance of winning the following year.
- A seat in the profiles section, where we
get to show your picture accompanied by a comedic description.
- The opportunity to get out of the house,
play some golf with some great guys, and have some good
food and drinks.

already been asked and know how to get in touch with me.
